During the period of your registration, you can:

Check your details are up to date in the Registered providers portal so you don’t miss any important communications from us.

Log in

Vary your registration: change classes of support or service delivery

During your registration you can apply to:

  • add or remove classes of support (also known as registration groups)
  • add or remove the types of service you deliver.

To apply:

  1. Reach out to your approved quality auditor (AQA) and discuss whether the variation you are requesting will need an out of cycle audit. If it does you can start the process with the AQA. 
     
  2. Email variations@ndiscommission.gov.au to receive an ‘Application for Variation of Registration’ form. Complete the form. 
     
  3. Submit the form via email to registration@ndiscommission.gov.au. Only key personnel can submit the application. 

    If your variation needs an audit:
     
    • Audit still in progress: your application email needs to state that you have engaged an auditor and include evidence of your confirmed audit dates.
    • Audit is complete: your AQA will upload the audit report to the NDIS Commission Portal.
       
  4. Once the variation application, required audit documentation and any other supporting evidence is assessed and a decision is made, the NDIS Commission will send you a notice of decision and an updated Certificate of Registration (if applicable).

Please note that completing an audit or submitting your application does NOT mean the variation is approved. Only the NDIS Commissioner or their delegate can approve the application, vary your registration and send a notice of the decision.

The NDIS Commissioner may vary the registration of a registered NDIS provider under section 73L of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 if the Commissioner considers it appropriate in all the circumstances to do so.

When assessing your application, the NDIS Commissioner will consider:

  • if an AQA has assessed that you meet the relevant NDIS Practice Standards
  • your suitability to provide the requested additional supports and services.

Vary your registration: registration conditions or length

During your registration you can apply to:

  • vary a condition of your registration
  • vary the length of time your registration is in force.

To apply: 

  1. Email variations@ndiscommission.gov.au to receive an ‘Application for Variation of Registration’ form. Complete the form. 
     
  2. Submit the form via email to registration@ndiscommission.gov.au. Only key personnel can submit the application.
